parting shot

the best valley
Roland Lane

If asked why the Wood River Valley is such a great place to live or visit, people who know the area are likely to produce a veritable laundry list of reasons. There are the people. There is the sunny weather. There is the sense of community. And don't forget the changing seasons, the opportunities for recreation, the natural beauty and the wildlife. Yes, it could be quite long. And, inevitably, somewhere on that list would be Bald Mountain, seen here from among a field of summer wildflowers in the Trail Creek drainage.
